Founded in 1938, Arlei is
currently one of the largest exporters of finished and crust leather
in the world. The company began as a small vegetable sole leather
trading house distributing goods to local footwear and handbag
manufacturers, and gradually expanded with the construction of
tanneries in Salta (northwestern Argentina) and Santa Fe
(northeastern Argentina), and later on its finishing plant and a
cutting and sewing facility in Buenos Aires.
Under the experienced
management of Mr. Arturo Leiser, Arlei’s CEO, and its more than 2000
employees, the company is recognized as one of the leading tanneries
in South America. The company’s leather processing facilities use
state of the art technology to process over nine thousand hides a
day, 7 days a week, exporting a wide range of products to all five
continents.
Arlei is proud to be the first Argentine tannery to have certified
ISO14001, QS9000 and ISO 9001. The company complies with the
strictest quality standards required by the industry leaders
including automobile and furniture manufacturers worldwide
